Hi I’m approx 3.5 weeks post complete daVinci hysterectomy . 1 week ago I started bleeding , my dr cauterized it and I was better. Then 2 days later I started spotting and woke up with unbearable right lower side pain that is constant.  With that being said I did not take any pain medication until this point! Help!

Tanya, sorry you're going through this.  Are you running a fever? You need to contact your doctor and let him know.  Some pain is going to happen, but not unbearable pain.  This is something that you can't diagnose or treat. Please do contact your doctor. xx

      Lynda,

Thanks for such a quick response. I’ve seen my Dr  twice and contacted him. They don’t really seem concerned. When I contacted them this past Wednesday the response was just continue to monitor it and if you feel you need to be seen make an appointment.  I guess I should of said in the beginning that  I’m a 20 + year ER/ Trauma Nurse. But when it is yourself it’s different! I’m really just looking for answers! I know it’s not normal. Or I wouldn’t think almost 4 weeks postop I would have severe right side pain?

That's what I'm thinking--not normal. But I suggest you up your water intake, that might help.  You are trained enough to know that infection/blockage in that area would not be good.

Kudos to you!  My daughter is an ER/Trauma nurse!  Nurses work in horrible conditions and still manage to save lives--despite some of the docs they work with!  smile

Thanks so much!  Please let me know how you're doing! xx
