Hi. I have had both knee replaced the last one being 18 months ago . When in bed my legs from the knee down have a weird burning tingling sensation. Anyone else have this??

Nope but people have different nerve issues.  Voltaren Gel (RX in the US) is a GREAT anti-inflammatory, especially at bedtime.  OTC Aspercream with 4% Lidocaine and Lidocaine patches work better on nerves.  I personally HATE the nerve meds Gabapentin (Neurontin) and Lyrica because of the weight gain and side effects.  Your doc may have some other suggestions.  If not, try a neurologist instead of an ortho.

Definitely sounds like nerve pain. I've had multiple DVT (blood clots) in my legs & they aren't a weird burning tingling. They throb like all hell, burn like you put your leg in a fire & left it to burn & the location is usually found quite quick as they actually pack out a lot of heat. A general practitioner (GP) can help you get this sorted. I have found nurofen gel (same-ish as voltarin gel) is great & also a cold pack at night helps x Good luck

    Hi Dawn.

Yes, I experience this also. It's been 2 1/2 years since my tkr. I am not as active as I wish, and mine appears to be related to inactivity. My tkr wasn't very successful, and my mobility is severely limited.
