I am 12 months post-laminectomy but have been diagnosed with a recurrent disc herniation.
I am hoping to avoid surgery, the pain isn't as bad and nerve compression not as severe.
However, at the level of the herniation (L5/S1) I have a very tender and hard area next to the spine. I can't recall this being there initially - has anyone had the same experience?
