My last period was June 2021. I'm 53 I always have hot flushes ,night sweats, low mood but they were bearable. 3 weeks ago my husband and I were on holiday in Spain. on the last night of our holiday we were having lovely meal ,afterwards I got really bad heartburn it was still there the next day when we were flying home. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack and I was panicking inside dud not mention to my husband got home fast forward a couple of days the heart burn had lifted slightly but I started to get other weird symptoms as the days went on. very fatigued, pain below left rib, pain at the top of the abdomen all pain was mild more discomfort than anything, insomnia, weird dreams, back pain, vaginal and buttock pain, flank pain basically pain all over. weird sensations in my arms and legs as if they are sunburnt but they are not, itchy skin, muscle twitching, body zaps, feeling nauseated especially in the morning , not caring too much to eat just eating for the sake of it. I think my anxiety has kicked in. I'm doing Dr Google and I think it is the worst thing I have done. I am a mess haven't been at work in 2 weeks. I hate going to bed and I hate getting up this is not me. I've had bloods done, urine tests, x rays, poo test and I'm now waiting on an abdominal ultrasound . please someone say they feel similar before I go insane

I hear you D, loud and clear! I am seven years DEEP in the throes of post-menopause and many days my symptoms are unbearable, to say the least! POST-Menopause does NOT go away quietly; it lingers and wreaks havoc on us womenfolk! Just the other day, I received some BAD news, which sent my anxiety in to overload! Throughout my menopausal journey, I have VIVIDLY noticed, it is hard to let go of... or dismiss some negative things that have been said to me, or negative words that have been said to me. It's like I can't process this cray-cray stuff, and I hold on to it for weeks! Right now, I am having chest pains, nervousness, restlessness, negative thoughts! Unfortunately, I can't seem to turn my thoughts off; they race as if they were in the Indy 500; these are the things BAD news brings about, in post-menopause. That being said, ANXIETY is one of my worst symptoms, pre-BAD news, period! Contrary to popular belief, my symptoms have gotten worse, in this last stage of menopause!😂 😂 😂 I eat right, exercise, pray, etc... yet this TSUNAMI pushes its way through ALL things good! IDK where I'd be if I didn't do the stellar things I'm doing now, to maintain some sense of normalcy! There are days, when I want to crawl into a clean, dark closet, and stay there til this sugar, honey, ice tea is OVAA!! Suffice it to say, when will this crapfest be over and done with?? IDK... My girlfriend's mother said we take it to the grave! Smh! Sending you hugs and ice cream. Please drink plenty of water and take care of yourself, as best as you can! This is a NATURAL part of our lives, yet it feels like a bomb was dropped on us womenfolk, just because our periods are ending or have ended!

Thanks, D...
As we speak, the BAD news is being reversed to good news! God is great and greatly to be praised!

I so know how you feel. I am post menopause 10 years and had come through a stretch where I thought maybe this craziness is behind me, NOT!
Since December I have been dealing with every symptom I have ever experienced since this crazy stuff started in 2008. I find if I allow myself to get tired in mind or body everything is worse, especially the anxiety. I honestly don't think this will ever end. I once had an older lady tell me menopause follows some women to the grave. I think I am going to be one of these ladies she spoke of. Prayers for you.
GOD Bless

While it's uncommon for menopausal symptoms to return after a couple of years, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional to evaluate your specific situation. They will be able to provide a thorough examination and give you appropriate advice.
There are a few possibilities that could explain your symptoms. One potential cause could be a hormonal imbalance. Hormone levels can fluctuate even after menopause, which might result in symptoms similar to those experienced during perimenopause or menopause.

Absolutely!! I am 2.5 years PM. Up until a week ago, I was feeling good. Been going to acupuncture to deal with TMJ, migraines, digestion issues, diverticulitis etc. A week ago, I got a very bad migraine and now I feel like everything has returned. TMJ pain back, dry eyes but most alarming, I feel like I am in a fog where I just want to lay down, feel dizzy, a bit nauseous. Walking around in a daze. Sleeping well but during the day feel drained. My friend, who is post menopausal, mentioned all her symptoms are back. It seems like it comes and goes. If I get stressed or anxious (I have sever anxiety) then all my symptoms return.

hello ladies i am so relieved i am not the only one with all these crazy symptoms but sorry you all are also having a hard time. I have went the 12 months so am finally considered hitting menopause. I thought the pre menopausal symptoms were a crazy......I thought I was going crazy because I was experiencing not just symptoms you always hear about like night sweats, hot flashes, anxiety, but joint pain, hair loss, panic attacks etc.... now the joint pain has gotten worse not just in my arms like my elbows but now my wrist, and my ribs have started hurting mainly left side but switches sometimes, jaw pain, brain fog, fatigue, and anxiety. I was searching online to see if anyone else was experiencing these symptoms or if something was wrong other then post menopause .
So some advice taking pain relievers has worked for the joint pain. Also this may sound weird but it definitely works and that is frequencies there are healing frequencies for everything. Go to utube and type in "frequencies for " whatever you are dealing with I have a Playlist and the ones for anxiety work ladies and also the ones for migraines, there's some for hormone imbalances, joint pain, etc they work and i want to help others know about it. If you have questions feel free to ask. Hopefully with God's help and each others help we will get through the menopausal years.....
