Hey There, Lovely Ladies....

Per some recent lab results, my cholesterol numbers are high, unfortunately.. I know for a fact, this is due to me being in the last stage of the meno trios, post-menopause! I eat right, I do NOT drink, nor do I smoke anything, etc... yet my numbers tell a different story. I personally believe, it has to due with my the fluctuation of my hormones. (BTW: Hormones rule everything, literally) It is worth noting, post-menopause has been thee absolute WORST stage of ALL three trios, I have EVVAA (the spellcheck is going cray-cray) experienced; I call it a TSUNAMI, period, and you take that to the bank!! Anyhoo, voice your unadulterated opinions regarding high cholesterol and menopause. And on that note, be well, my menopausal sisters!

High cholesterol during menopause can indeed be influenced by hormonal changes. Fluctuating hormones, specifically lower estrogen levels, can contribute to unfavorable changes in lipid profiles. Despite a healthy lifestyle, genetics and hormonal shifts can impact cholesterol levels. Consider discussing management options with your healthcare provider to mitigate the effects of menopause on cholesterol. Stay strong, menopausal sisters!

Same thing for me this past year my cholesterol jumped up into the "out of range" zone on my recent lab work! Disconcerting to say the least. I don't drink, smoke or eat a ton of fried foods, not much dairy, decent diet, eat foods with good fats, like avocados and small amounts of raw almonds, etc., so I feel a little ripped off for living relatively clean.

This has actually freaked me out a bit, so I'm thankful to see that others have experienced this without having a suspect diet and lifestyle to match the numbers. I also just had an elevated CRP "out of range" lab done and this means inflammation is present in my body - not great for the old heart with these two increases in levels...stress gets activated & here we go again! Good luck with your attempts to lower it - Ive got a good quality Omega/fish oil supplement from my ND so I will be popping those and walking/ biking to see if i can change these numbers stat. Good luck to you too!
