Morning Sajidraja,
Sounds to me as though you are suffering Rhinitis. I do too and that causes Post Nasal Drip,
what you are suffering. There are several medications that can help with this. Do you also
suffer Sinusitis ? as that can caue it too.
Having a blocked nose most of the time is horrible and constantly clearing the throat due to
all the mucus that's being made. Which sometimes can indicate allergies.
You're lucky that you're not suffering ETD (Eustachian Tube Dysfunction) with this problem,
as that's what happens with me.
Speak with your doctor, or Google Rhinitis and see what it says you can do to help yourself.

Hello Susan,
I too suffer PND quite badly, that also gives me a chesty cough that can last ages. Not sure if there's a remedy for PND, except maybe using a short course of antibiotics, they've helped me in the past. All the mucus that gets stuck in my throat causes me to cough as well, that also lasts for ages, quite a chesty cough.
My problem is allergy and sinus related, which I think causes post nasal drip.
Horrible condition, but far worse when coupled with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction that sadly I suffer too.....wondering if it's the post nasal drip that seeps into my eustachian tubes which makes them block up.
If you live in England, as I do, try NeilMed Nasal rinse which cleans out sinuses and any allergens. Also try Otrivine (purple box) decongestant nasal spray. It will unblock your nose to allow you to sleep.
Hope this helps
Regards
Anne
