had my hysterectomy for prolapsed uterus and cervix on Monday unfortunately had a bleed the following day and had to go back to theatre then have blood transfusion. Got out of hospital yesterday struggling with emotions can’t stop blubbing... had to give in and take codeine today am already battling to keep bowels moving after  all the anaesthetic and being bedridden for days Senna and lactulose make me feel sick any suggestions I’m drinking lots and eating fruit etc

    Laxido, two or three sachets. Dulcolax liquid really works if you ar very constipated but can give you the runs.

    You can safely take Laxido every day as it's a softener rather than a laxative.

    Hope you feel a bit better soon, you've been through a lot, no wonder your emotions are all over the place, Poor love xxx.

    Sorry to hear you've had a rubbish time 😞 Exactly the same happened to me... I think I was probably traumatised! I was an emotional wreck.... made worse learning that the Drs that were looking after me were very junior and the one who re packed me had NEVER done it before!!!

    I was constipated and ended up using a suppository... worked tho 😰.

    It's such a big deal and I've been all over the place with my emotions since having my op! Starting to feel more like myself again recently tho... I'm 11 weeks post rectocele and perineum repair.
