Hi i had an ovary and fallopian tube removed 4 months ago. I was put on tibolone for 3 months following the op and was then told by my gyno to stop as i still have an ovary. I havent had a period since coming of these tablets and was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes for periods to get back to normal? Xx

    Hi Jane,

Did you have a period in the 3 months after the surgery? I'm asking because I've had the same situation since I had a tube and ovary removed in October, i haven't had a period. Even though, oddly, it seems my other ovary has ovulated. Maybe it was a negative reading on the ovulation test since I have since read it's almost impossible to ovulate and not have a period shortly afterward.

Hi the day i left the hospital i received an injection which i was told would stop my periods for 3 months. I bled only lightlu for a few days for each of these 3 months i rang the hospital worried but they said it wasnt anything to worry about.

I went for a 3 month check up and the gyno told me to stop taking tibolone and my periods should go back to normal within a month or so. I havent had a period since coming off the tablets so getting a bit anxiuos instead am having bad hot flushes and kerp getying an outbreak of spots!

I had my other ovary reconstructed which is why i was put on tibolone i take it that cos ur other ovary was okay u havent been put on tibolone?

I havent been monitoring ovulation although i will be soon as we hope to try for a baby! R u trying is that why u are monitoring ovulation?

Did u have any side effects coming off tibolone?

    Xxxxx
