Thigh pain and stiffness is normal, especially at the stage you are at. I am 15 months post surgery and still have stiffness and tightness in my knees, the left more than the right. Thought that both legs would heal the same with bilateral knee replacement, but I was definitely wrong on that. My right knee was so much better at healing, less pain, less swelling, less everything. Left knee still giving me trouble with tightness, but slowly getting better and I can see the light at the end of the pain tunnel. The thigh pain is likely from the IT Band as the muscles around that area are stretched. I found a YouTube video online that relieved that much better than anything that I had tried. Look for Bob and Brad, physiotherapists and look for their ITBand video from 2019. This helped me within a couple of weeks, although I was much further along than you are, but wonder if I had found this video sooner if I would have found relief at that stage. As well, my naturopath suggested rubbing Castor Oil where the stiffness is, sometimes I put it from my ankle to the top of my thigh. Cover with Plastic wrap and put heat on, whether a heating pad, or hot water bottle, whatever you have. This will activate the castor oil. This also helped tremendously with the stiffness, but do not use this anywhere close to the incision, until that area has completely healed. Remember this is a longer recovery than we may have been told, 1 to 2 years is not unusual.

    Hope this helps.
