Ive been able to eat everything, to be honest. Really fatty foods leave me running for the toilet. But not painful or anything. Just goes straight through me. (TMI) But thats only if i was to eat a take away or something.

Sorry i know thats not much help. Xx

    Hi

After having my operation I'm able to eat normally. I have found that I struggle if I eat big meals or have two courses if you go out. I sometimes get ache on my right side if I eat food that is processed or fatty. I cook fresh every day

Hi try rice cakes I manage activia yogurt too. All fruits bananas apples . Oatmeal no milk I use almond milk. You don't want pure fats. See if there's help. Its It's just what you can tolerate. That is a self learning project. Good Luck.

I always loved my food , now I'm barely existing .

Linda it will take time. I drink almond milk with no bad reactions. Better than dairy. Yes you may eat Apple's pears. I ate fruit like crazy. I hate yougart but activia is not a real your gart. It's great. Try it you will love it. Peach is my fav. Then you can have it with granlola it's good. Eat almonds any but will help your body get stronger. They have helped me tremendously. Hang in there you will be ok. Be strong stay strong. Bye

Hi Linda:. Before I had my surgery I was told by my GP to not eat greasey or fatty foods or spicy foods. I ate alot of stir fries and I baked my meat in the oven. I also drank skim milk and water and tea. Cause the fatty milk hurt my gallbladder. Because I am diabetic I had to drink apple juice before I went into surgery. I munched on popcorn and potato chips, they didn't bother me. I wasn't aloud anything to eat 8 hours before surgery. Just apple juice. I don't know which country you live in. I am in Canada and all drs are different too.

Hi Iris, I find strangely that low fat potato crisps and microwaved chips in small amounts

don't bother me . Just fed up of them now.Had a little chicken, carrots and sweet

potato yesterday, so far so good . They don't tell you any of this before removal,

If they did at least we would know what to expect. I'm in the UK .

Hi Linda:. They didn't really tell me what I could eat but dr suggested I don't touch those foods I mentioned. And I understand about getting sick and tired of eating the same things. Have you ever tried baking pork chops, in the oven with a little bit of seasoning salt and garlic salt on 350 ? And if you make mashed potatoes add just a wee bit of butter and use non fat milk. It will not bother you as much. And you could also try mashed potatoes, with shredded cheese and green onion cut up with a wee bit of salt and pepper. And blend the cheese in til it is melted in potato's That should not hurt you either and it will give the mashed potatoes flavor. Just a few suggestions. Take care
