Post-op robotic myomectomy

Hey everyone,

I had a laparoscopic myomectomy yesterday to remove my large fibroid and the pain is awful. In my case, my period started the day of surgery too so I'm experiencing pain from that, on top of the surgery. my lower back pain has already gone away. My fibroid was pressing again my spine. It was excruciating every day and nigh, so for that I am Very thankful!! I just wanted to post an update in here and l everyone know that. No matter how scary surgery may be, what's matters is that thing is GONE. Finite. Done wreaking havoc in my stomach for good!(hopefully for a long time anyway)

Take care all!! I'll still be here on the boards to help people, from my own experiences 🙂

Seeing your good news is very encouraging.  Keep up with regular ultrasounds to locate new fibroid growth.  Often we have fibroids removed, only to have new ones grow within a few years.  Research shows that women that have regular diet and exercise have fewer fibroids and less complications.  So enjoy long walks, cycling and whatever activities you have enjoyed in the past.  Maybe even find a new activity to try.  Congratulations on a successful surgery.

Glad to hear you are free, fab. Hope the pain subsides quickly. I have a 13cm fibroid how big was yours to have robotic myomectomy, where was it, what type was it?

Thank you! It was 9cm and it was intramural, located on the top/back side of my uterus. Pressed right against my spine
