Hi guys ! Had surgery laparoscopy a bit over 3 weeks ago and even tho the incisions are all healed now. I continue to be bloated and swollen especially on top right side and lower right. My body is disproportionate and it's visible . Nothing barely fits which doesn't help when you already feel like crap. There is pain on the right side where my dermoid cyst (16 cm ) and ovary used to be .. and i alsi feel this electrical stabbing pains on my pelvic area. What can I do to help with the swelling ?. Anyone else experienced the same? Thanks

I used a binder for my abdomen, it kind of helped. Also I drank green tea, arnica tea which helped too. Stay strongĀ

    Hi hun

I had a tvh but keep ovaries 14 wks ago and I was swollen for months.. Even some days I feel fat around the middle and I only weigh 8 and half stone.

You will have swollen tummy for at least 13 weeks but some days better than others. I found a warm heat pad was very soothing for me but other thanks of rest it's just time and patience.. Just take it easy and enjoy the down time lovely.

Don't worry it's completely normal the swelling your feeling. I will update my post tomorrow for other ladies who are so caring about how my appointment went... And you of course of your interested. Healing hugs hunxx

Thank you guys! I am definitely resting. Got one 2 more weeks before going to work. It's hard cus i honestly don't even remember how my body looks like anymore. Before surgery I had a buldge where the tumor was which was leaking and causing swelling and inflammation allover and now swelling continues .. ughhh . Hopefully with time will turn to my normal self..

So sorry you are in pain.  I can't comment on the swelling as I had a vaginal hysterectmy but I can relate to the electrical stabbing feeling as I had the weirdest feelings where my uterus used to be like the electrical interpretation of fear!!  That's the only way I can describe it and I have never heard of anyone describing this.  It went away eventually.  All the best for your speedy recovery.

Yes it feels like being zapped with a current of electricity. I heard that happens to some pregnant ladies as well so perhaps due to hormonal changes. ? I have my post op appointment next week so will be asking my surgeon. Thank you

Definitely not be guided by your boss love..it's not them you need to be worried about, you need to heal strong.

I guess I'm too cautious but it's definitely paid off.

Be careful and think of only you. Healing vibesxx
