Post op THR

im 74 years old have never been physically active really. i had a THR on my right hip due to Avascular Necrosis.im a week post op i have to use a walker to walk my daily steps i have no pain sitting or lying down but pain wilth walking or putting any pressure on that keg i can deal with that if its normal i hear people talk about having no pain at this stage.

how many steps should i be taking a day to keep improvong? i need a goal. ( sorry for the puncuation. This doesn't self puncuate)

    I think a lot of people do have pain after just a week. A lot still have pain for a lot longer. Walking is always good exercise, but you should walk as far as you feel comfortable. I was still in hospital after a week after my latest hip op. In fact I was there nine days.
