if having two phlebotomies per month....how often should blood tests be done? Realize the doc will direct this...but would once a month be sufficient? I AM canadian and heading to US for 6 months and my CA health insurance will not extend out of Canada. I eill have to see doc in US and get Rx .... just wondering what others feel is adequate.

It never feels adequate given our frustration. You are not likely to get a blood test as often as you like unless you test privately. My early blood tests were all over the place and not consistent with vx timing. I just did what I was told.
Now that I am de-ironed (i.e. <50) I deliberately time my blood test a few days before my vx to get a much more knowledgeable reading. If you could at least do that when you do have a blood test, it would be more helpful to you.
