Morning all, had the steroid injection yesterday, felt good for a couple of hours, the pain and discomfort is now double what it was before the injection, is this normal part of a cycle?

Happy Easter

Hi Joe.....I had 2 steroid injections one month apart, they did nothing at all for me, but I don't remember it making it worse. Maybe try icing in case there is a little inflamation there. Wrap a packet of frozen peas or something similar in a tea towel and put it on your shoulder. Don't put direct on your shoulder though without a tea towel or TShirt or something wrapped around it. Good luck 😊❌❌

Yes agree feels worse but in a couple of days it will feel ok again. I didnt get any physio tho so mine was useless, i felt it froze again after a week. I had 2nd injection last sat and was in so much agony for 48 hours then it started to feel so much bettrr and i got a little more movement. But today it feels like it did before injection! Painful. Im goin to have assessment on thurs for hydrodilitation at the hospital, which im hoping i can have soon. Theres a good success rate for that. Goood luck. Try and see physio this week.

    Hi Joe,

Coincidentally I just had a steroid injection on Thursday.  I'm having some crazy side effect.  My face and neck looks like I have a bad sunburn. I also feel like I'm having the worst hot flashes ever, and I'm beyond all if that hot flash stuff.  The is the second injection I've had.  I had one in November, and I didn't have this reaction.  It was from a different doctor.  It also didn't help me at all, and if anything it made everything flare up and feel worse.  Pain wise, this one is making me feel stiff.
