Post surgical wound care and questions about my wound

I recently had surgury to repair my flexor tendon in my pinky finger and the wound from the operation looks kind of strange and i was just looking for an opinion as to why the immediate area around were the insision was in some parts is black?

    Could be a few different things. Dried blood can look very dark. Also, it could be bruising. Another is surgeons use an electrocautery device, which essentially brurns anything it touches to stop bleeding. This can cause the tissue to char and appear black. Hope this helps.

    When do you see your doctor again?  I would call the doctors office and see what they say.  I would hate to think that your wound was infected.  It could be normal healing or who knows what.
