GOOD morning everyone it's 5 days since my left TKR IT'S my second TKR I had the other leg done 10 months ago at which I said never again blow me down I'm saying that again good job I've only two legs lol. Anyway the usual has happened lack of sleep night time pain and feeling useless 😢 However I'm hopeful because I been there before. The op went well ? Spinal done blighted by no ice making machine on the ward so husband brought packs of peas in the ice box 🎉😁 A stupid nurse who said you must ice you need heat yet physio and doctor outraged at lack of ice. And listen to this must not elevate the leg up on a stool. GOOD job I'd been and done it before. So no problems that can be solved with time and effort and planning my first trip out for lunch in 2 weeks time that's the three week bench mark goid luck everyoneand chat soon ?

Well Joan, second TKR I take it your first one went well thenI’m 4 months in and apart from the first say 6 weeks it been fine and to be honest the sleep insomnia was my only problem but not through pain just discomfort thank god for my GP who prescribed sleeping pills to help me through a few of them first six weeks.I need my second TKR probably this time 2018 and I have little fear now,I remember the crippling  arthritis pain everyday and how good my knee feels now, still a bit stiff first thing but that’s fine anyway dear hope you have a great recovery and knowing what’s ahead this time will be a great help and comfort.
