just wondered if anyone else is experiencing itchy crawling skin. Sometimes it's my face and head while others it can be just about anywhere.  Can't say it's worse at any given point in the day and antihistamine makes no difference ......

Are you taking hrt? Apparently this can be a side effect...

i noticed after surgery that i started getting itchy, then red lumps would come up in random places that were hot and extremely itchy. Doc gave me hydrocortisone creams...i also have much stronger allery meds..fexofenadine 180mg which do help..its only since the surgery that i have had these problems.  I do get mild eczema, but this is different to that.  The spotty areas become hard and dry out though they are not 'fluid filled' like chicken pox...and then the fade to tiny red spots...the hrt i am currently taking says it can cause skin problems lime these, but this started straight after surgery, and i didnt start hormone treatment for 6 weeks..  Drives me mad...hubby always have to apply cream to areas i cant reach..woke myself up last night scratching so much...

not sure that's any help, but at least you know you're not alone teresa

    best wishes

Hi thanks for your replies.  I'm not on hrt as I was post menopausal before my op,although the nurse did say I might feel the effects of losing my ovaries.  Everything else has been fine just this crazy itching.  I'm trying out aveeno shower gel and moisturizer as these are perfume free and contain wheatgerm which is supposed to be soothing so fingers crossed.  I'm only 2 months post op so hoping things will settle down if not I think I might see what the consultant has to say.  I'll keep you posted
