Hi all. A few weeks back i had a TURP procedure, which went well with no problems. However now l'm experiencing painful nocturnal erection spasms - the pain/spasm is enough to jolt me awake. Has anyone else experienced the same issue after a TURP operation, I'm hoping it will go away as it heals down below. Any comments/input welcome.

Hello! I am not sure about the erection part, but I was told that the "lightning bolts" of sensation in my penis during the day were somehow connected to the prostate healing. I remembered after my TURPs that I'd be sitting at the dinner table and I'd feel this, not really painful but a jolt would be the best description. Eventually they went away.

thanks. yes, they are kinda like lightning bolts, however i get mine at 4am with the morning tent pole!
