Whoa Sally....what did I get myself into? 39 years old and and a labia punch biopsy knocked me down a few days...word of advice ladies...plan end of the work week with intent to chill in relaxing clothes...no warning of healing process being a little more intense than anticipated. I am post 2 c-section which may be why I’m taken back at how things can get out of sorts down there...itching is very intense on day 4-5 and that is what landed me in there in there in first place...just be better prepared than I was..too young for Lichen but does have to be ruled out for extreme itching/irritation

Agree the procedure was painless for most part except for stick and sting of lidocaine but yes recovery was unexpected 😩

I'm 37. Had mine on a Monday and suffered through the work week!
Unfortunately, no one is too young for lichen. Babies have it, but I feel ya. I feel like I'm too young too!

I wasn't expecting a biopsy on my visit to consultant. Local anaesthetic doesn't work on me but she carried on regardless. It was horrific. I had to have stitches and was flying off 2days later on holiday. No sea or pool allowed. Never anywhere on my body will i ever have a biopsy again.

Hi April,
Yes it does take awhile for that biopsy site to heal! I was very taken back by how long it took. Almost 3 weeks! What did help was very warm baths and a hot pad.. set on low. Don't burn yourself as I did! It will heal... dEbi
