Yes. In my case, I am suspicious that it may be yeast. I scrape my tongue most mornings and drink a lot of water.  Also, I try to stay away from anything with sugar.

Thankyou Phillis even more reason to be careful of my sugar content I think yes I also have stepped up my water content although must admit I don't drink 2 litres of water daily maybe I should I'm going to write down everything I eat/drink maybe that could make a difference to how I'm feeling daily

I dn't drink that much water either, but I have started the habit of having a glass of water beside me to sip when I am watching tV or reading.  I know I drink more water than I used to.  Also, acidophilus tablets are inexpensive and help with yeast in the body.  Nonprescription.  ALso, I try to stay away from white bread--a real yeast builder.

Royalty, I have unbeleivably dry mouth.  It is to the point where I have problems with eating food.   Sorry, I don't have the energy to go look in the mirror for a greyish tinge.  I haven't noticed this before.

I don't remember the name of it, but there is a mouthwash you can buy over the counter that counteracts dry mouth.  One of my daughters uses it.  Wish I could remember the name.  The pharmacist would know.  It is kept with  stuff like Llisterine, etc.  No prescription needed.

That's right it's called biotene my husband bought it this morning

Does the biotene help? I've developed a problem with dry mouth and tongue over the last few months and it's making me miserable. Am conscious of it all the time. Am drinking loads of water but my mouth is still dry. My dentist said it could be burning mouth syndrome and told my to avoid toothpaste with SLS as this can make it worse. Think there is a Biotene toothpaste too. Am a bit scared of trying new things as have had allergic reactions to things in the past.

Isn't it weird how your mouth sticks together when you are trying to talk?  I never realized before how many helpful functions my salivia was performing!

It's horrible when that happens. You are in the middle of speaking then your mouth dries up and you have problems speaking but you can't explain to the person you're speaking to what's wrong without talking even more which makes your mouth worse. Should maybe carry a notebook about to write things down when can't talk!!
