Post viral symptoms / syndrome

Hello eveyone,
I have been diagnosed with "post viral symptons". I have not got a clue what it is.Has anyone heard of this. For over two months I have been suffering from the following:
Heavy head feeling,
unbalanced.
constant pressure in the head
flu like symptons but no fever.
Pins and needles in left and right leg. Sometimes hot and cold flushes in the leg.
Prickly feeling in the arms
Muscle fatigue or cramping in the hands. I feel like my hands are so stiff sometimes.
Fatigue all the time ( despite having a good sleep).
Apparently I had a viral infection and then one by one these symptons appeared. it is dragging me down. I have MRI, blood test which came back okay except for slight raised "infection".
Does anyone else have these symptons? It is dragging me down. Is there a solution. The Dr says there is no treatment but it will disspear or subside on its own... when? when? when? Some days I can handle it other days I want to just curl up.
No offence but this syndrome just sounds so wishy washy. Could I be misdiagnosed?
Sad Elle.

I am curious. How long have you had your symptons? Have you started on all the health supplments mentioned in the post and relaxation.
I know it's hard to say try not to worry I think that makes things worse. But do try not to worry. Fear makes adrenaline. Adrenaline makes body tense. A tense body is not good for recovery.
Definately going to read up on whether there is a correlation between the gut and post viral symptons. This is interesting.
You are not alone in this.

Here in the UK, Lyme disease doesn't seem as prevalent as in the US. It is being recognized more but, I'm not sure how gp's assess if Lyme's could be factor here.

Sorry to hear your suffering with this so much it really is a terrible condition ive only been diagnosed this week so im no expert but if your anything like me the spasms are the most frightening thing and will cause stress which will then make you more fatigued !!
apparently q10 vitamins help with the spasms just thought id mention it as like i say its the worst part for me.
Im going to give them a few weeks to really give them a chance and will keep the post updated with any hopeful progress.

Ive done some more research into coq10 supplements to try and better understand their benefits and it appears they are deffinately beneficial to fatigue syndrome sufferers.
Apparently they help;
Lower cholesterol
Lower blood pressure
Boost immune system
Help neutralise free radicals in the heart, liver, kidney & pancreas.
At least 1 video i watched described their benefits as having direct benefits to muscular fatigue and spasms.
Coq10 is described as something every cell in the body produces but lowers significantly when we reach our 30s and when we are stressed but also the ammount the body produces is reduced by 50% when taking statin drugs !! (I think a few people have mentioned taking statin drugs on here not sure if this affects you).
Also worth mentioning there apparently around 3 times more effective when taken in gel form as they otherwise have notoriously poor absorbtion rates.
You can get 120 of 200mg softgels on amazon for £25 ive just oredered some as i had originally ordered powder capsules (never mind) 1 of these gels per day should be sufficient to hopefully see some improvement in your muscular spasms if what ive read is true. Most of the sites ive looked on are not promoting any particular brand so seem pretty trustworthy.
I know id said id keep you updated on any improvements which it is obviously far too early to tell by now but thought you might find this helpful all the same. they apparently have no side effects so i guess if you can afford to buy these there would be no harm in trying them at least.
Hope this helps have a good weekend anyway. Michael.

I will ive actually been feeling a little better the last few days the spasms have gone down quite a bit but im putting this more down to a few lifestyle and diet changes rather than the coq10 plus the fact that i know what im dealing with now which before hand was causing me quite a lot of stress.
Im just still running out of energy about 3/4pm every day i have been fairly active shopping/d.i.y etc until that point tho so hopefully if things go to plan i can drag this fatigue time out to later in the day.

Glad you're feeling a little better and that you're noticing some improvements.
Seems your body has got into a pattern with this which I guess is helpful. Do you rest when you get to that point? As in lay down etc.
Hope the Q10 does end up being beneficial for you.
Best wishes

I know how you feel with this and I've had these awful symptoms and i've been scared by them too. I've wanted answers, treatment, a cure. We all want to be our old self again asap : ) its a tough ride and accepting that is even tougher. All we can do is rest And be gentle with ourselves is what I've learnt. This said, that doesn't mean just rolling over. If you think Its thyroid, then get tested for for this. If your symptoms are troubling you, then go to the doctors, emergency department or other, if only to get peace of mind. You're symptoms are real. You're not making It up. Its a real challenge to get past that feeling if you're not used to visiting the doctor before all this started. Regarding yr 2hour therapy session, if you don't feel up to it/feel too bad during It, tell the therapist. Put you and your health 1st.
Hope today feels less distressing for you.
Best Wishes
