Post YAG floaters

Hello,

I had a yag capsulotomy 4 days ago. There was no floaters shortly after the procedure, but I developed one (irritating) from day 2. It's still with me. I know it's early stages, but should I expect it to resolve or get prepared for living with it / undergo vitreolysis?

What type of pattern did your doctor use for the YAG? My doctor used a cross pattern and the flaps fold back and are held back by the vitreous. If your doctor used the circle method, my understanding is pieces of your posterior capsule get lasered away and can float in your vitreous. I have read they will eventually sink into the vitreous out of your line of sight.

I had a cross. Perhaps you had a circle pattern.

I had the cross pattern and I did not have any floaters from the YAG.
