Posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) at 26?

Just wondering if anyone knows any more information or experience with Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD) for people under 30 years old?

I have been suffering with severe and increasing floaters so got emergency eye test diagnosing PVD. Which should fingers crossed heal on its own and hope does not get any worse 🤞

However I have a long list of health issues which may be causing my breaking down pretty quickly over the last couple of years. Anyone what health issues may cause this to happen at a younger age?

Thanks!

What i can tell you is do not have a retinal laser procedure no matter whet your ophthalmologist tells you about risking a retinal detachment.

If you are convinced you need a laser make sure you get retinal pics taken first, then have the retinal specialist show you the tear, and then agree to the treatment areas - and ensure that the ophthalmologist guarantees the laser will not go into your field of vision.

Search on this website for "white flickering lights" to read about the nightmares people are having from the retinal laser procedures performed on them, including in canada and the usa.
