Postmenopause—All Symptoms Return

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello Ladies,

Have any of the postmenopause group of ladies experienced a decent length of time where your symptoms have been more manageable, not completely gone, but manageable, to having literally every known symptom return overnight? I honestly thought I was on the downhill side of symptoms and now all symptoms have resurfaced. I have been on this journey since 2009 and will be 60 in September. I really thought things would be more settled by now, but not the case for me.

    Hello,

I can totally relate. I will turn 60 in August and have been dealing with most of my symptoms since 2015. I have seen some gradual improvement overall but have not felt great per say. This past November and December I really thought things were turning around and then last week everything comes crushing back. I wish I had answers for you but sorrowfully, I don't . I do understand! Praying for better days.

Thank you Carmen for your reply. Sorry to hear you too are still in this battle. After all of this time it still just amazes me how quickly these crazy feelings can come upon you, just out of nowhere and turn everything upside down. I had really hoped by this age things would have settled down more than they have, but that just makes me appreciate the good days, when they do come, all the more. I pray that one day the dark days will cease, never to return. I try to tell myself it is a valley, one that I have been through many times and through GOD's grace I will cone through again. Praying for better days for you too.

      GOD Bless

Soooo glad to see your post. I am 63 years young and there was a period when things settled just a bit. But seems like lately came back with a vengeance. I posted my journey which hopefully will be approved to share. My muscle tightness/tension/stiffness and Sciatica is the worse.

I try to stay stress free but being married..it's impossible..lol. But we are in a much better place than we were. Keep in mind, stress makes your symptoms 2x worst. Thank God for red wine during the day and 2.5 mg valium as needed if I wake up during the night.

I too had a small stretch where it seemed my symptoms were more manageable, not gone, but I didn't seem to notice them as much and I really hoped all the crazies were behind me, not the case. Every symptom I have ever experienced during this journey has reared it's ugly head again. They came upon me from nowhere, literally overnight. I agree with you stress definitely amps all symptoms up 100 times over and it's so hard not to stress when you are dealing with so many different symptoms. Hopefully one day all symptoms will be gone never to return.

      GOD Bless
