32yr old Female (8months postpartum) with No history of Constipation but Pregnancy gave them. Removed 2 Internal prolapsed and 1 Very big thrombosed Haemorrhoid that would bleed very very badly and surgery was only option left.
This is how i prepare for my Surgery--
Started my stool softener and lots of water 3 days ago and managed to empty my stomach well.
Day-1 I was really Dizzy from anesthesia and was throwing up badly with side effects form it and I don't remember much except lots of pressure on my stitches from nausea.
Day-2 Spent lying on the bed Thinking i will cry any minute now with throbbing pain But I managed it with Ibuprofen.
Day-3 Early morning had My "THE BM" I'm having goose bumps right now thinking about it,It was THE painful thing happened to me but hot Sitz bath after BM saved my a*s. Had 2nd BM in the afternoon and 3rd in the late evening before bedtime I was crying with pain and pressure i was feeling.
Day-4 BM in the Morning it was watery but i was screaming in my head with pain but Hot Sitz bath was there to save me. I was going to bathroom every 2 hrs that day. Time to stop my stool softener.
Day -5 I felt so good thought I'm recovered but than in the afternoon had very watery BM and I was in the bed for rest of the day.
I was Taking some OTC night time meds that helped me catching up my sleep that I nvr got after i delivered my baby 8 months ago.
Day 9 today.
I'm almost out of pain meds now. Having pain only During and after BM but they are still very very painful even though i don't have to strain and it's almost like liquid consistency it is very Painful. SITZ BATH ARE YOUR BEST FRIENDS.Very Itchy down there right now seems I'm healing from my stitches.
Stay on top of your meds (dr gave Oxycodone but I nvr take them) and lots of fluids and lots of Yogurt will give you good probiotics.
I know there are very bad horror stories up here but Don't let it in your head before you go for surgery I know it is extremely painful and every surgery is different, everyone's pain tollarance is different but 2 weeks of toucher is better than lifetime of torcher.
Cheers to painless poops coming soon..!
