Potential hashimoto thyroiditis

Posted , 1 user is following.

I've got an enlarged thyroid, ultrasound showed thyroiditis and swollen lymph nodes. I had a thyroid function test (TSH) which was 'normal' so they have checked for antibodies. High levels of thyroid peroxidase 209. (normal range 0-34) I think this means I likely have hashimotos.

I have a lot of symptoms of underactive thyroid/thyroid issues eg

muscle aches

anxiety

tiredness

hair loss

but I'm wondering if GP/consultant will do anything meds wise with my TSH being normal. I am currently under ENT but presumabely could be referred to an endocrinologist??
