Hello
I'm a 24 year old male and
For 4 months now I've had some strange symtoms.
Legs and arms aches that come ago often: (especially calves and forearms)
Tingling in these areas
Spasms mostly in my calves
Finger pain
Feet pain
I've done many blood tests :
Vitimin dif
Liver
Kidneys
Muscle breakdown
Cancer
I've seen a physiotherapist and blood pressure is fine
I was prescribed neproxen and that's the only thing that helps me .
Been on them twice and pain goes away completely but every time I come off them my symtoms come back .
It doesn't disturb my sleep and my symptoms come on 10 minutes after waking up .
I have an appointment with a rhumatologist in March
Doctor said if nothing comes from my appointment and would then be sent to a neurologist and if that's all fine it could be anxiety
Anyone have anything similar or ideas ?
Phil

Hi Phil when you say tingling is it like and electrical tingle. Or more like a muscle twintch I've got muscle twitching along with electrical shoot pains and was only I'm my right leg but now is all over and do also now have scarey electric pains across my chest but not very often across my chest my local hospital has reached a brick wall so I'm. Ring referred to a professor in London
Have you have EMG test on your muscles ??

My husband is awaiting EMG as Neurologist is saying Motor Neurone ? This has come on so quickly since September last and we just dont want to believe him An awful lot of people on Lyrica (Pregabalin) also have these symptoms of whichmy husband was on for some 6 weeks during which all this happened.

I surely hope he don't have MN I too had EMG before Christmas they ruled out certain things for me but they can't figure me out so they're referring me to London neurology professor. I've got muscle atrophy in right calf and right bum cheek and muscle twitching now everywhere and the electrical. Painss I had before Christmas was immense
Ref your husband as his mum or dad ever had nerve problems and had he taken anti acid tablets at all for a long period of time ??

The only thing I can think of is Peripheral Neuropathy. I just turned 63 on the 14th so I'm a whole lot older than you. I was diagnosed with peripheral Neuropathy back in 2005, but dumb me I thought Peripheral Neuropathy was the same thing as diabetic nerve pain. I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in 2011 and I thought for some reason the two were the same. They're not. Diabetic nerve pain does attack the feet and hands but Peripheral Neuropathy can attack any where. Do some research. I hope this helps.

Hi Jon. Yes I've befinately got some peripheral nerve problem for sure at first it seemed to just be down my right leg and they've been sure it's due to Zl5 disc degeneration in my spine causing S1 root nerve to be annoyed. But now I've got muscle twitching in both legs and recently in this last week it's in bothe arms also. So my local hospitsl is referring me to see a neurologist professor in London I'm waiting to receive the date bloody soon I hope. I get sharp shooting pains across my chest also now and then so it's a bit scarey. //: you've had nerve probs for some time by the sounds of it your a nerve problem specialist then a bit.
