Potential Scaphoid fracture - MRI results back

Hi everyone.

Just a small update and a request for advice.

Three months ago or so I went to my doctor due to pain, swelling (at the base of my thumb) and poor grip of the affected hand.

The original X-ray showed no fracture. Following that I have been wearing a splint while waiting for an MRI. The MRI results came back and I saw a specialist who advised there was no fracture but there was inflammation around the area and a ''Ganglion Cyst'' in my hand. I found it hard to believe, I saw the scan and it indeed looked clear. But after months of pain I am now completely lost as to what is going on.

I have been referred to Physio but I have never found that useful in the past.

I waited over 2 months, doing pt. no results. finally an mri, after being in extreme pain. torn rotator cuff & sprained bicep. now, I have to have surgery. Dr doubted I had any injury & was very condescending every time I saw her. she was unwilling to prescribe anything for pain because ood the opioid scare. what about the real patients who suffer?
