Potential shingles

hello New years eve small mark on forehead, over course of 3 days got worse . went to docs had biopsy awaiting results (4 days now until i get results).

dr initially has said herpes virus and given Lipactin to put on area. 4-5 times a day.

day 7 now mark still on head hasnt got worse but very red and angry trying to scab over .

woke this morning to swollen eyelids.

scalp itches mainly around hairline.

mild headache.

sensitivity of face side mild but there.

swollen lymph nodes.

now feel like i have a cold also.

only been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen as awaiting confirmed diagnosis.

i thought i was making progress until head oajn albeit mild and swollen eyelids this morning.

i am meant to be back at work tuesday after xmas holidays.

feel generally rubbish how long will this last when will i start to feel better, and look better.

i dont feel tired and always had bad sleep its just the achey now eyes and head .. heavy chest making me feel like i have a cold coming.

prior to this i had ear infection for 6 months which did clear but left me with tinnitus .. everything is happening on the same right side apart from my swollen eyelid on the left.

i now wonder if the earache six months lasting and went three weeks ago now all this was the start.
