Potential spider bite

I woke up with a pain in my upper wrist on sunday. It was a red circle with a raised yellow pus filled bump inside. I went to the pharmacist that day because I thought it was ringworm. She said it wasn't and that if it got more painful I should see my GP. Later that day I felt a bit dizzy and flu like. I woke up monday and today fine, but as both days have gone on I tend to again feel a bit dizzy and develop a headache. My still hurts when touched but is less ring like and looks more like a small reddened crevasse. Any idea if the two are related and if I should just leave it to see what happens?

I can't speak with authority in your case, but I had something like that several months ago: I woke up in the morning with a small red bump on my right ring finger, which over the course of the day got bigger and pus-filled. It was nastier-looking than your picture though, and it hurt more and more over the course of the day so that even ibuprofen wasn't taking away the stinging. I finally went to the ER in the evening and they said they couldn't say for sure if it was a spider bite without further testing (and/or seeing the spider that may have done it, which I couldn't produce), but since my symptoms were local only (limited to that finger, not generalized or with dizziness etc) they popped it, drained it, gave me antibiotic and antifungal cream, and said I'll likely have a scar there forever.

Anyway, if I were you I'd probably get it checked out just in case.

Go to your doctor!Spider bite or not that is a viral fungal infection causing you dizziness. That is not a good sign.
