POTS

Hello all. New to this forum just doing my best to do what my GP can't. Diagnose me properly. So I have been having vision problems and pressure in my head. Headaches would be severe and I would have muscle pains. I suffer from Sleep apnea and I do use a cpap. I have horrendous fatigue.
I'm just wondering if anyone else gets this with their pots? I am not diagnosed I'm just trying g to see if I have it. When I lay on my belly my ears start rumbling and ringing st the same time and it feels like my head is going to explode for like 10 seconds. Also when I stand up I feel lightheaded and occasionally get the rubble and head feeling.
I have been having vision problems and they spike when I get excited. I get excited and I feel lightheaded my ears rumble and my vision gets crazy. Please tell me this is pots. I have went for a whole year without an answer to my issue!
Please tell me your pots stories if they are similar!

Hi PrimalHunter
I understand how annoying it can be when you feel like you are getting no where with your GP. I complained about my symptoms for 4 years and was told it was just anxiety over and over again, but I knew it was more than anxiety (I do have anxiety and I never disputed that) however I wanted answers for why I was feeling the way I was.
A good GP should listen to you, so if you are finding your current GP isn't then find another one.
I found a GP who listened to me and she ran a lot of tests and referred me to my cardiologist. I then had a holter monitor, stress echocardiogram, echocardiogram and I did the poor man tilt table test with the cardiologist and I was diagnosed with POTS about 2 weeks ago now.
I have a long list of symptoms but I will talk about the ones you have asked in your question.
Vision - I get blurry eyesight sometimes and it seems to come and go. I have my eyesight test and its fine. I do wear glasses. I have never really thought this was POTS related.
A few times when I stand my eyesight will go black and I get dizzy and lightheaded but it goes away quickly. I put this down to my blood pressure when standing.
Head Pressure - Yes I get this and it drives my nuts. When I am having a bad day with my POTS when I stand I can feel pressure straight away in my head. It feels like it is going to explode when I get moving this starts to settle down. It will come again if I bed over or move my head quickly.
My main symptoms with my POTS is my heart rate upon standing will increase 30+ beats and will remain at that until I lay back down.
I get short of breathe and chest pain.
Pain in my body, back, arms, legs (seems to jump around my body)
A general feeling of unwell (I explain it like being hungover even though I don't drink).
Fatigue
And more symptoms that I haven't listed.
It's importment to try and stay as active as you can and drink plenty of fuilds.
I am not a doctor this is just my experience with POTS.
I would look for a GP that will listen to you and maybe ask for a referral to a specialist at least that will give you peace of mind.
If you have any other questions let me know.
