pounding head

Hey all,

So today I have managed to venture out of the house for a meal with my other half in a quiet pub, which has taken a lot if build up as struggling to leave the house. During it I had two pints of cider. Afterwards we have nipped in to a shop to grab some shopping. I have had to walk out the shop as it felt someone was squashing my head. Although it isnt painfu I am struggling to keep my head up and concentrate. I havent felt this whilst being on the meds so far. Has anyone else experience it?

Hey, I have been on 20mg for about 5 weeks. I have had a glass of wine a couple of nights and was fine after. Just found it strange. Think might stay away from alcohol for abit. Dr didn't say anything about alcohol. So thought I would be alright. I don't drink much just a odd one now and again

Heavy head and the feeling of something squeezing your head is a common symptom of anxiety. I'm not sure if it's caused by the Citalopram or not but I've had the same feeling on and off Citalopram.

Possibly the alcohol was a trigger for you. I would def limit alcohol intake while on the meds.
