Hi all.
I noticed some patches on my legs some years ago. I stupidly ignored them thinking they were just pigments and caused by a lack of sun and vitamin D.
Last year a couple of large patches appeared on the right hand side of my face, they were the size of £2 coins, and once others stated noticing them i went to the doctors, who said it was PR a fungal infection and perscribed some tablets. They helped tremondiously. 6mths later it returned when I went back to the doctor he suggested Selsun shampoo, which I have since used, i have also used anti-fungal cream and a years later the rash is starting to appear again and looking as unsighly as ever on my face (always the same spot).
Strangeley reading some of your other comments I have never sufferd from dandruff and can't fathom what could be causing PR now in my 40th year....any suggestion as to what to try would be much appreciated. I will be taking up the idea of the head and shoulders shampoo. Thanks

PR is NOT fungal.
PR rarely appears on the face.
PR sufferers do not (necessarily) have dandruff! Anti dandruff shampoo has helped with the PR rash, it is not a cause or predetermination of getting PR!
So my best guess would be that [i:04e5a3536a]either [/i:04e5a3536a]you have a fungal infection and [i:04e5a3536a]not [/i:04e5a3536a]PR, which if anti-fungal treatment has helped seems quite likely.. [i:04e5a3536a]or[/i:04e5a3536a] you do have an atypical case of PR and are mistaken in thinking anti-fungal treatment worked.
Multiple herald patches (presumably?) on your face does not say PR to me. I would seek a second opinion from a dermatologist (your GP will refer you) and try and get to the bottom of this. It just does not seem like PR.
