hay there, everyone, my pr rash started to come out 4-5 day's ago, ive hardly slept for the last three nite's!! i was diagnosed last nite at my general, and googled PR straight away, it come up that head and shoulder it good to clear it, ive suffered with pityriasis visicalure in the past which is a fungul infection, i used a shampoo called sel sun, which is also an antidandruff shampoo, you can buy it over the counter in phamacy's, it soon went. I was told that PR is a viral not a fungul and i didn't think the anti dandruff shampoo would work. ive just got out the shower and have noticed a massive difference, the redness has gone down load's and im hardly itchy, so im going to carry on using sel sun shampoo, and see how it goe's, thing's are defo looking up guy's, chin's up

i also heard about the anti dandruff shampoo idea but not until my rash was in the 'dry and flaky' phase and it was agony! made my rash so red and sore....i would not recommend this if you are aleady dry and flaky....but by the sounds of it, it can work if you are in the early stages!

for the past 2 days I have just been using sunbeds and nappy rash cream and although im still very dry and flaky, it seems to be getting a little better. seems that it has to 'dry out' a bit first before it starts to fade away.

hay there, im sorry to hear that the anti dandruff shampoo isn't working so much for you, i have to admit mine didn't really get to the dry flaky stage, have you tried dyluting the shampoo first then applying it with a soft sponge, i also use antisestamine's(sorry about the spelling) someone also said canasten cream help's, good luck and finger's crossed smile

hey! the sunbed seems to be working brilliantly.......been on everyday since friday and although im like a walking snow globe (skin flaking off everywhere!!!!) it is really fading and is much less red! not using any cream as i really think it needs to 'dry out' to help it fade. thanks for the advice.
