Pragabalin

Hello fellow sufferers

I am

Currently on ropinorol 4 x prolonged release which i take around 3pm and a further 2 x quick release just before bed.

My RLS is getting worse and I am aware this is due to the augamentation as discussed with my neurologist.

They want me to withdraw from the ropinorol and start pragabalin (this scares the hell out of me) I’m not sure I could cope with the withdraw of ropinorol and handle the RLS.

has anybody got any experience of similar situations?

Thank you

Lucy

Hi Lucy  I had to do this when my previous pill augmented I was on pramipexol for 5 years  I had to wean down for 24 hours it wasn't very nice I had to take sleeping pills to get me through and take time off work but  did it

i then started on ropinarol and I am still managing with the 25mg every 3 hours and I use the prolonged release ones at the weekend or when I am out at a function I am dreading it when I get to having to change again as the.ropinarol works so well anyway good luck with you change please let me know how you get on and what your new pills are like

      Hi

Thank you so much for replying, I must admit I feel very anxious about it but I know it needs to be done.

And then there is no guarantee the new meds will work as well as the ropnirole.

You know as well as I do, you will do anything to take that feeling away so it’s going to be hard weaning off. I will keep you posted xx
