Glass of water to take my Steroids,Gastro tablet & calcium. 9am no more food 😩. But drink Plenty of fluids! Clear drinks until midnight, black tea, clear soup, jelly &/or bovril. 10am first picolax drink to start emptying bowel. Next one at 4pm. In between 2 bottles of pre op drink (like an energy drink) at 5pm, 8pm & 2 more before 6am. From midnight to 6am day of surgery only water. Tomorrow only take gastro tablet & Not steroids before surgery. No water after 6am on surgery day.

    Hi Bustergut,

Well done so far in even managing to coordinate all the dietary requirements in preparation for your op.

All the very best, once again, for the surgery, a speedy recovery and the restaring your life, free of UC.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.  Where are you having the procedure?

    Kindest regards,

    Peter A

Good luck to you! I do highly recomend that all bowel preps and pre op instructions are followed to the letter. I have had UC since my 20s, but as a theatre nurse, I see more than your average UC patient from various angles and a good bowel prep will make a difference, and we know when the instructions have not been followed!!!  Hope all gor=eas well xx
