Pre Period Problems!

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice.... the week before my period is due I have the worst PMS.

I get extreme fatigue, extreme hunger, extreme sweatiness (and sometimes BO) and extreme hormonal mood swings!

Does anybody else get any of these PMS symptoms and if so, any advice on how to minimise or help control them?

Any advice is appreciated!!

I used to have a very similar problem. More so when I was actually on my period. Although having extreme cramping does make you kind of grumpy.

To be honest the first thing I would suggest is possibly consulting your GP and asking them if there is anything they can suggest that will help with your hormone levels. They may suggest putting you on a pill they regulates your hormones and periods.

If you would rather not go down the taking hormone route then I can only suggest trying natural remedies. Such as trying to do things that relax you. You could even try meditation. I personally struggled with that one because my attention span is just horrendous lol. But everyone is different.

I sympathise massively with the mood swings. In having PCOS one of my biggest problems is my hormones being so all over the shop. Unfortunately for me I have really messed up periods so there is no planning for my moods swings. They can literally strike at any time.

I hope this has been a little helpful to you.

All the best for the future

Hi, I was diagnosed with pcos 2 years ago but for the last year I've had bad pms, tearful when I never hardly cried before, mood swings etc

i feel your pain, doctor told me it's just pms and to try evening primrose for it. No idea if it works as only been to doctors today, anything is worth a try though.... xx
