Will predisone take away pain aswell as stifness?? Have had a 3 day course for back stiffness but hasnt cured the pain in my hips and neck and shoulders or lower back . Definitely helped with the stifness , apart from suffering with a severe migraine for 2 days not sure if down to medication or that my monthly is due . Awaiting to see a dr again to find out if I can go back to work as my job involves loads of bending , hoovering and bedmaking . Cannot get rheumatologist appointment untill october 14 weeks away . Im at bit of a crossroads at the mo not sure whats next help I

    Hi how's things , im after havin it in me big toe it's horrible the doc gave me tabs called Naprosyn 500 mg there great

    Look into using a biologic.I think Prednisone is not the way to go for the long-term.

    Why so long for a rheumatologist appointment? Aren't you a regular patient?

      That was the quickest appointment I could get or I could choose to pay to go private, at £195 just for 40mins consultation then extea for treatment and xrays. This is going to be my first visit to the rheumatologist as this pain and stiffness has been building up over the years until ive now been off work for 6 weeks in pain
