Prednisolone 7 days side effects

I've been given 5mg a day for 7 days by my doctor for vestibular neuritis, with a little dose like this give me any mental side effects? I've suffered from anxiety and depression before and I'm just worried of the side effects.

    I have been taking pred for eighteen months starting at 20mg. 5mg just for seven days is a very low dose, so you should be fine. I hope it works well, it really is a wonder drug.

    I agree with ptolemy.  I took it for 3 years and stopped last October.  I had to restart it a month ago and am on 15mg daily.  Don't think about side effects, think about feeling better when it helps your condition.
