pregabalin.

I read somewhere in the last few days that pregabalin is being used to wean peoplee off heroin, why the hell are we prescribed such a powerful medicine, its well k nown that prescriptio drugs are m ore diff to get off.

    Hi rosemary,

    I not seen this but I know I was on pregablin for nerve pain and it not really for that but it does work well nevertheless. I think Heroin its fair to say is worse than pregablin so any drug may bee deemed better if it has properties that help. There is so much going on with trials these days

    Am on pregablin as you no I have found it's ups and downs If I miss just the one tablet am in bits the next day but if I keep up with taking them it's been quite good for my anxiety! But I've been to the docs to try get off them but am not aloud until my IPAT anxiety course finishes which is tomorrow! But dreading coming off

    I wasn't aware of that to be honest.

    I have been on 300mg daily for anxiety along with  citalopram for depression. Gained so much weight preg though so went cold turkey 3 weeks ago! It's been an incredibly tough 3 weeks but think I'm getting there!

    I can believe that rosemary .. I've been taking 300mg 2x a day for syatic pain due to badly worn disks for 2 years now and if I forget to take one before I go to bed I wake up the next day feeling flu like symptoms,  no energy and feel like I've been run over by a lorry with aches and pains all over my body,

      Don't know what I done there... 

      For last month have been taking 200mg 2 times a day.. So far so good smile
