Pregabalin - Insomnia

Hi, I started Pregabalin 10 weeks ago for "GAD" after 20 years of medications... the GP said I'd been on everything... so he started me on this.   Since then I have had both zero anxiety and zero depression.   Wonderdrug smile.   Apart from recently (2 weeks now) it seems to have destroyed my normal sleep patterns.   I rarely get more than 2 hours sleep, then I'm wide awake for 2-4 hours before I get tired again... 2 more hours sleep, etc etc.    I'm on 200mg 3 x daily after titrating up to this level over 6 weeks which I finally felt was "therapeutic" for me.   Has anyone else experienced this and does it go away?   Other than this the drug is the best I have ever found for my GAD and also depression!

Thanks,

Jack.

    Hi,

I've been on Pregabilin 75mg x2 daily for about a month now and it still hasn't taken my anxiety away. To be honest, it's made it worse! How long did it take to kick in with you?

I'm also having problems sleeping, it's very frustrating!

Pregabalin worsens anxiety issues and interferes with a lot of things other than sleep.

I started on 50mg x 3 and it removed my anxiety within 30 minutes.   After 4 days I felt it coming back so my doc upped it to 100 x 3.   This was okay until abt 5 weeks in, so my doc upped it to 200 x 3.   To me it is God's gift to anxiety, but we all react differently to drugs.

Be careful on this medication. It does more damage than good.

      I wish you luck.
