I started it on Tuesday and I begged my psych for it after reading glowing reviews online. I was prescribed 75mg twice a day. Unfortunately it has made me feel worse. I was as dizzy as hell after the first few doses. The room was spinning as if I was drunk too. Had to sleep with a bucket beside my bed in case I was sick. Felt terribly depressed too. I think everyone is different but I am starting to doubt the glowing reviews of this drug and also I don't think I will take it again. I would rather feel anxious but feel like myself than how I felt after only 2 days on this drug. Not sure if this helps?
Best wishes
Mark

I've been prescribed this too. Only found out about it after coming on this forum. I asked my GP about it as I had an allergic reaction to mirtazipine..he just prescribed it straight away. Spoke to my pharmasist yesterday to ask his advise & he'd never heard of it being used for GAD until he read the leaflet!! That was a bit worrying but they have so many drugs to know about don't they so they can't know everything. The list of side effects scare me but I took my first pill tonight. Ive got a trapped nerve in my neck, been causing ailments for a few months so i'm hoping it will help with that too. I've been seeing an Ostiopath for that.
Have been on several SSRI in the past & they only worked for a short while. They made my IBS much worse & I came off my last meds & felt loads better, was thinking straight, sleeping better etc. but because of prolongued stress last year & SAD my anxiety coupled with moderate depression has come back with a vengence so now trying this.
It's annoying having to try new drugs, I feel like a guinea pig so hit & miss, wish I could just get better without all this hassle. How long have you been on it?
