Hi Ruth
When my periods started to become irregular I was about 42 I'm 47 almost 48 and in the beginning I took a lot of pregnancy tests just to put my mind at ease I wanted no surprises my periods have been all over the place in the last few years from skipping a month to a normal cycle to being a couple of weeks late it's really annoying hard to plan anything when you just don't know when your getting it! And if your in Peri be careful because you can get pregnant

From what I understand...if you're going through peri, you're still able to become pregnant. Once you hit 12 consecutive months of no period, thats when you have officially hit menopause and are no longer able to become pregnant. Hope this helps. Good luck and congrats on your new addition!

I have been told 3 years no period can no longer become pregnant
but I think that is being over cautious. I am 56 no period 3 years
xmas and have still been worrying up until recently. I know it is
unlikely, but not unheard of.
Annoying really, I wasn't this cautious when I was a teenager!
(Same man, just lucky)lol😂
