Hi I am 2 months pregnant and I have Psoriatic Artheritis, Rheumatoid Arthiritis and Fybromyalga. I was on a lot of medication and I have had to come off it all cold turkey. I am in agony and I am suffering from bad anxiety and depression because of coming off my medication. Would anyone know if there is anything atall I can take to help me deal with this anxietyand pain?

Hi, I don’t know if this will be helpful to you..it’s kind of a shot in the dark.. but there is a woman that had rheumatoid arthritis and some skin issues as well as depression and she was on high doses of mutiple meds since she was a child.  She learned that it was some sort of auto immune response and that food was the culprit. So she did an elimination diet.. basically just meat and green vegetables and then slowly reintroduced foods to test them. She has been able to go off all meds and she just recently had a baby. She takes you through everything and desscribes it all in her blog  — I have had some health issues and so I have been looking for non med solutions. I don’t know if it will help you but I thought I would share it just in case. DEFINETELY talk to a doctor about any diet changes though while you are pregnant.

I hope you find a way forward. You are a strong person to face all of this and bring a child into the world. Take it one day at a time.

    Hi Patricia!

Congratulations to you, but sorry to hear that you are suffering. I was taking a low dose of Fluoxetine for anxiety during my pregnancy.( which I halved to jist 10mg per day)

Midwife said that I would have to stay in for 2 days after giving birth to monitor the baby.

I too was worried that my fibromyalgia pains would get worse, butin my case, pregnancy actually made them much better!😊

Your healthcare providers will know which medication is safest for you both.

    Best wishes

    Emma.

    Hello beautiful,

congratulations and I understand where you are with that. I had huge withdrawals during pregnancy from meds. It's hell on top of feeling nauseated etc. Talk to your midwife or one that specialisises in med withdrawal during pregnancy.

I feel your pain. It'll be worth it though darling. It's horrific but it will get better xx

Congrats Patricia...lots of people say that there horrid symptoms seem to go away or are remarkably slight during pregnancy, I really feel for you going cold turkey off your meds, but as previously mentioned a low dose of anxiety meds look good, I wasn’t pregnant but came off a double dose of one med I really felt the withdrawals but the doctor gave me something that calmed it all down and it was only for a few weeks..I wish you well during the amazing time of your life..be blessed and have a lovely day Patricia 😍😍💐💐💐😘😱
