Pregnant with hip dysplasia/hip replacement

I am hoping to find other women who've walked through pregnancy with hip issues. I have a severe case of bilateral hip dysplasia and have had 15 surgeries including a total hip replacement. I experience some degree of chronic pain on a daily basis due to arthritis and the damage done from years past. I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant with my first child. Up until this point my body has done better than I expected it to. But, I am beginning to be in debilitating pain. According to the chiropractor I see weekly, I have a misaligned sacrum, my pubic bone is separating to make up for the fact that my hips cant, and I have a rib out as a result of my outrageous compensation. A csection is a guarantee for me. In the mean time, do any other women know coping strategies? Is it better to rest and stay off my hip and back or to keep staying active? Doctors are giving me mixed input. HELP!

I was diagnosed with SCFE when I was 12, had surgery to put 2 pins in and developed a vascular necrosis. I got pregnant with my first child in 2015, When I was 24. The chronic pain was normal to me but still very excruciating at times. I wanted to have a natural birth but was scared I wasn’t going to be able to because of my drastic lack or range of motion. I ended up having her naturally, no medicine in the hospital. Praise God it was an amazing experience. A year later I got a total hip replacement. I am now 5 months pregnant with my second child-so almost 2 years post total hip replacement. Difference is night and day.
I think the chiropractor is a great thing to be doing. Also stretching helps me a ton when I get in pain. I would say if you’re in pain stay off your hip but stay as flexible as you can. Deep yoga like stretching is great for pregnancy. Doing anything to take that pressure off your sacrum and lower back. I would try and stay as active as you can without putting stress on your hips and back. Riding a stationary bike and floor or bed stretching helps. Also any teas or food the reduce inflammation. Maybe look into natural remedies like CBD oil, depending on where you live and if it’s legal.
Best of luck. You got this!
