Mags, so pleased to hear of the safe arrival of Rory.  Many congratulations to the new mummy and daddy and to the proud grandparents as well.

Our little grandson is now 4 weeks old and I've had the biggest cuddle today.  His daddy is a Star Wars fan and his mummy surprised everyone by appearing with the little one dressed in a storm trooper babygro and hat - he looked sooo cute - I wish I could post a photo!

Oh i will,  they sent me a photo from the hospital where he is ready to come home, he so cute i cannot stop crying as i thought i would never see this day, my friend said its a different feeling to your own children.

It is, but nothing can compare, in my opinion, to your firstborn being put into your arms.  We had been married for nine years before our daughter was born.  She slipped easily into this world and I laughed!!  She looked just like her grandma!😄😄 (she still does), and her grandma was a real darling - she died when she was 96.

Hi Mags, I agree with your friend.  I have never experienced the feeling that I got with my grandchildren.  It's hard to describe, You do things with them and for them that you necessarily wouldn't do for your own children.  Like passing them their glass of milk/juice which is in their reach lol.  Enjoy Rory, you will spoil him rotten, if you're allowed lol.

Oh that was lovely, my son never saw his grandma or grandad Lambourne and i aksways thought he missed out there. Still he had a lot of love from my mum and dad.x
