Welll finally made the huge decision after months of research of giving in to HRT. Was desperate suffering low mood, low energy levels, periods which seemed to go on forever. Coming up 50 in a few days and couldn't stand the thought of this going on any longer. So after seeing my GP who was very sympathetic and understanding came away with a prescription~must admit was a bit shocked when went to the chemist and was charged for 2 pres coz there are two tablets in the pack but if it works I don't care. The first day came and I popped the pill out of the packet thinking this is gonna be the turning point in my adult life and the bloody thing shot out and I cannot find it anywhere 😝 Anyway I would love to hear from you lovely ladies if you are on this type of HRT and what you think ? 😀

I'm 51 and have been on Prempak C .625mg for about four years now, and have never looked back! I was having hot flushes and periods that would go on for 3 weeks or more. The only problem is that I have a feeling my doctor is going to try and get me off HRT in the next year or so (I recently changed my GP as my previous one wanted to take me off the tablets already!). Having read the comments from people on this forum I have no intention of coming off HRT. In my opinion the risks are grossly overstated.
I am glad your GP was so sympathetic and I do hope the Prempak C alleviates your symptoms. Best wishes.

As some of you know I have been a complete mess since becoming Peri last year, my Doctor refused to give me HRT and I carried on feeling as if I could curl up and die just for a normal( Whatever that is) this site was my only saving grace- but my doctor retired four months ago and I saw a new doctor who put me on Prempak, and apart from feeling slightly sick the first few days of the packs I am so much better! I am now on pack three and I can see what everyone meant, I sleep better, I am not tired all the flamin time, my aches and pains are improving( but that could be the weather) all in all I am starting to feel my usual self or as good as, keep going it will make things better and get a prepayment card for your prescriptions it works out cheaper that paying separately.
Good luck, just remember it does get better even if you think it won't big hugs xxxxxx
