Preoperative Hair Removal  For The TURP Procedure

Posted , 10 users are following.

I'm having the TURP procedure performed on me in 2 weeks. I'm having the enlarged median lobe removed. My right side and left side Lobes are in perfect shape

I'm 51 years of age.

Do they shave your pubic hair off for the TURP procedure?

thank you.

Are you having the "Mono" TURP, the "Bi-polar" TURP, of the "Button plasma" TURP, or the "GL" TURP, or... ?

And what state or country are you having it done in ?

I told a urologist I had been a patient of that I had recently had GL. He commented 'It's just boring a hole so its a TURP'

IMHO, there's a thousand ways to make a hole, some could be better than others depending upon the outcome one is seeking.

No but you can remove it if you want to. Did you choose TURP or was that all you were offered ?

Not sure about hair removal for a TURP, they did not for my holeup, my Dad had that done twice but am unaware of how they prepped him.

I hope your procedure goes well!

No. I'm my case (Stevenage in the UK) I had a spinal block, was fitted with special equipment around the lower legs to prevent DVT, was swabbed down by a nurse after my foreskin had been retracted (I didn't feel a thing) and was sedated soon after to stop me coughing as I have COPD and cough when I lie on my back. When I came round an hour later I had been fitted with a 3-way 22 French catheter and was being flushed through.

    Six mo

Ignore six mo. I was going to say I had the procedure six months ago and I'm happy with the results.

Yes, a really smoking hot blond nurse with a killer body and nice cleavage will gently shave it off just

before giving you the prepop soapy sponge bath.

Then you will wake up from the anesthesia with a catheter the size of a small garden hose in your urethra

and realize it was all a dream and worry about how you are going to go up and down stairs with that thing tugging and pulling on you for the next few days.

Good Luck! I actually found the procedure to be much easier that urolift.
