Preparing for Cyst and maybe Ovary removal, tips??

Hello, me again.
All I think about these days is my cyst, not that I have much choice as i'm in discomfort daily and sometimes like yesterday, pain.
I got thnking last night about the operation and if it's possible between now and then to do 'Everything I can' to ensure the operation runs as smoothly as possible.
Exercise - I'm not doing anything strenous although i'd love to as I'd like to lose a stone to get me well into the healthy bmi bracket (Currently 26.6)
I have been going to a pilates class once a week but due to hubby's shifts I can only go 3 out of every 4 weeks. I was thinking I might look at doing some at home.
My question is - CORE - Do you think its better the less fat you have around the abdomen? I have had a baby recently, well I can't keep using that excuse he's 16 months old! Rather than exercising which i'm scared to do I could concentrate on the core and stick to my slimming world diet and hope that I can lose a few pounds?
I might be talking complete rubbish but I just thought i'd ask in case you have any experience.
I should probably add I only went on the waiting list on fri so it could be ages away yet!
Thanks!

Hi, , I had oopherectomy and tubes removed, plus cyst last year, I had lots of adhesions from a previous hysterectomy, so it took a long time to get everything freed up.
I had it done while I was having a prolapse repair, which was the major of the two ops.
To be honest, the ovary removal surgery was quite minor compared to the prolapse one, and that bit of it wasn't a problem.
You will feel tired after for a few days, and need to take it easy for a couple of weeks, then should be back to normal.
I didn't do anything in particular to prepare for surgery.

Thankyou. Yes I'm fine after the ovary removal, the other surgery not so much.
I'm sure you will be ok, try not to worry about it, it's not too bad.
